    The 911th Airlift Wing performed fire drills to test the response time of both the 911th AW and the Allegheny County Airport Authority Fire Department at the Pittsburgh International Airport Air Reserve Station, Pennsylvania, Dec. 10, 2020. The 911th Airlift Wing does not have a stand-alone fire department on the installation and therefore relies on the assistance of the neighboring Allegheny County Airport Authority Fire Department.

  • 911th ASTS making room for nursing mothers

    The Air Force recognized that many airmen did not have the appropriate lactation rooms and recently updated Air Force Guidance Memorandum (AFGM) Establishing Requirement of Lactation Rooms for Nursing Mothers, on August 14, 2020. The memorandum is not new, but it now put the responsibility on commanders to identify and provide lactation rooms and outlines the standards that will be met for these areas.

    With holiday celebrations just around the corner, the season of giving is officially here. Over the last decade the 911th Airlift Wing’s Angel Tree has been around to help with holiday cheer. The Angel Tree Program, which has helped more than 100 personnel, is a way for 911th Airlift Wing members to help out their fellow Airmen who may be in need around the holidays through donations of gift cards, gifts and other necessary items.
