Master Sgt. Michael R. Smith

MSgt Michael Smith is the Flight Chief for the 911th Airlift Wing at Pittsburgh International Airport  Air Reserve Station, Pa. His mission is to guide effective manning of the 911 AW with qualified members. He oversees the accession process of approximately 120 new citizen Airman to the Air Force Reserve annually. MSgt Smithn works hand-in-hand with the local Force Support Squadron to create a seamless transition for new members. He is the liaison between Air Force Reserve recruiters for the 911 AW. He advises the 911 Air Wing commanders on manning requirements to meet congressionally mandated levels. MSgt Smith’s professional goals are provide the recruiters with superior training, customer service, and foster a team environment.
