PITTSBURGH INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT AIR RESERVE STATION, Pa. -- An Airman assigned to the 911th Airlift Wing was found dead at his home today at approximately 8 a.m. in Wilkins Twp., Pennsylvania.
The name of the deceased will be withheld pending 24 hours after the notification of next of kin.
The Airman’s chain of command became concerned when the individual did not report as scheduled for the unit training assembly and called for a wellness check. The Airman was pronounced dead at the scene by the Allegheny County coroner.
The incident is currently under investigation. More information will be released as it becomes available.
