Robert Kerlik serves as Vice President, Media Relations for the Allegheny County Airport Authority. In his role, he serves as the primary media liaison for Pittsburgh International Airport and Allegheny County Airport. He is responsible for developing media strategy as well as internal communications.
Prior to joining the Airport Authority in April 2015, Mr. Kerlik worked for 12 years at the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review as a reporter covering a variety of topics throughout the region, most recently transportation industries. He has experience in television and radio as he frequently appeared on newscasts as a subject matter expert in the region’s top news stories.
He also teaches journalism at Duquesne University in an adjunct role and has been the advisor for the school newspaper there for eight years. He is a member of the university’s Publications Board, which oversees student publications.
Mr. Kerlik frequently engages stakeholders of the authority and excels in building partnerships for the mutual benefit of all parties, including the 911th Airlift Wing. He has been a key player in helping Pittsburgh International shift to a top origin-and-destination airport from a mega connecting hub.
He is married and lives in Pittsburgh with his wife.
