Colonel Douglas A. Stouffer

Col. Douglas A. Stouffer is the Commander, 911th Airlift Wing, Pittsburgh Air Reserve Station, Coraopolis, Pennsylvania. As Installation Commander, he is the senior officer responsible for the wing mission, assets, and all assigned personnel. He commands a force of 1,429 Air Force Reserve members, 464 civilian employees, and over $2.1 billion in national assets and military hardware. The Wing provides persistent agile combat support, aeromedical evacuation, and worldwide combat airlift in the C-17 Globemaster III.

A graduate of Pennsylvania State University, Colonel Stouffer received his commission through the U.S. Air Force Reserve Officer Training Corps in 1991. He earned his wings at Vance AFB, Oklahoma, as a KC-135 Stratotanker pilot in 1993. After 12 years on active duty, Colonel Stouffer transitioned to the Air Force Reserve.

His career includes assignments as Instructor Pilot, Wing Safety Officer, Flight Examiner, Director of Operations and Commander at the flight, squadron, group and wing levels. Previously, Col. Stouffer commanded the 512th Airlift Wing, an Air Force Reserve Command associate wing, Dover AFB, Delaware.

Colonel Stouffer is a command pilot with more than 6,000 flying hours, including 400 combat hours. He has flown missions in Operations SOUTHERN WATCH, NORTHERN WATCH, VIGILANT WARRIOR and provided nonflying support in Operation NOBLE EAGLE.
