911th Airlift Wing celebrates Earth Day
The 911th Airlift Wing begins its Earth Day 2010 celebration with an annual tree planting, held here April 27. Ms. Melody Stewart-Markley, Civilian Personnel administrative assistant; Col. Rebecca Oroukin, 911th Mission Support Group commander; Capt. Misty Bartley, 911th AW executive officer; and Mr. Brian Keenan, 911th Civil Engineering Squadron engineering technician, man the shovels while Mr. Robert Clifford plays American patriotic songs on the bagpipe. This was the 15th year for the base to celebrate the event. Other activities included a base clean up, a presentation on composting with and without worms, as well as how to save water by using a rain barrel.
