Mrs. Sally Haas, Pittsburgh Airport Area Chamber of Commerce president, is honored by Col. Jeffrey T. Pennington, 911th Airlift Wing commander, during a breakfast briefing Feb. 11, for an award she recently received from the Secretary of the Air Force. Secretary of the Air Force, Michael B. Donley, presented Mrs. Haas with the Air Force Distinguished Public Service Award during a ceremony Feb. 4 at Joint Base Anacostia-Bolling in Washington, D.C. It is the highest honorary civilian award the Secretary of the Air Force may grant to a private citizen. Mrs. Haas earned the award for her advocacy of Air Force issues and for her dedicated support of Airmen and their families while serving as a member of the Air Force Chief of Staff Civic Leader Program.(U.S. Air Force photo/By Senior Master Sgt.
