Vietnam era Airman returns home
An Honor Guard detail and approximately 50 personnel from the 911th Airlift Wing, Air Force Reserve Base, participated in the dignified transfer of the repatriated remains of Air Force Capt. Thomas E. Clark, of Emporium, Pa., who was killed in action during the Vietnam War. On Feb. 8, 1969, Clark was attacking an anti-aircraft artillery position in Savannakhet Province, Laos, when his F-100D Super Sabre aircraft, of the 416th Tactical Fighter Squadron, 37th Tactical Fight Wing, was struck by enemy fire and crashed.
