Mask deployment
Senior Airman Jonathan Hehnly, a 911th Airlift Wing Public Affairs specialist, checks the vacuum seal of his newly assigned M50 protective mask for air leakage before he proceeds to the next step of the fitting test procedure at building 218, May 11, 2012. Hehnly replaced his old MCU-2/P mask with the new M50 Joint Service General Purpose Mask which is part of the mandatory United States armed forces gas mask exchange that started in 2009. All 911th Reservists are required to make this exchange and receive additional Chemical, Biological, Radiological, Nuclear and Explosives training 90 days before any deployment.
