911th briefs
Col. Craig Peters (center), 911th Airlift Wing commander, briefs Rep. Tim Murphy (R-18) and Pennsylvania State Auditor General Jack Wagner on the mission, strategic location and the economic impact the Air Reserve Base has in the communities surrounding the City of Pittsburgh. One of the many topics discussed during this tour, Aug. 22, 2012 was the significant role of the 911 AW during a possible national disaster, in which the 911th is capable of receiving, staging and transporting more than 800 patients in an 8-hour period.
