Civic Flight simulation

Civic Leaders from Pittsburgh operate the C-130 flight simulator at the Eastern Regional Flight Simulator Facility located at Dobbins Air Reserve Base, Ga., Oct. 3, 2012. Aviation simulators are used to train pilots in many aircraft operating procedures and have the advantage of being more cost effective to operate instead of flying an actual airplane. The system also allows pilots to train for any emergency procedures which cannot be practiced in the air. (U.S. Air Force photo by Tech. Sgt. Ralph Van Houtem/Released)
