Enlistment strengthens family ties; built on tradition
Adam Walleck recites the oath of enlistment, administered by his cousin, Capt. Shawn M. Walleck Jan. 30, 2012 at the Youngstown Air Reserve Station in Warren, Ohio. Adam will serve the 179th Airlift Wing in Mansfield, Ohio for the Ohio Air National Guard as a Command Post Journeyman and Capt. Walleck currently serves the 911th Airlift Wing as the Chief of Public Affairs. Both Wallecks' fathers served locally for the 171st Air Refueling Wing, with the family's military roots tracing back to World War I. (courtesy photo)
