Anything but ‘routine’

Master Sgt. Frank Powell, 911th Security Forces Squadron standards and evaluations instructor, advises Naval Operational Support Center – Pittsburgh Master-at-Arms personnel on tactics to employ when faced with having to subdue a perpetrator who refuses to cooperate during a routine traffic stop. The mock scenario was created as part of joint traffic stop training between Air Force and Navy reservists at the Pittsburgh International Airport Air Reserve Station, April 30, 2013. NOSC-Pittsburgh Sailors are ramping up activity on the base as construction of their new headquarters building continues at the 911th. Construction of the new facility is slated to be completed by Spring of 2014. (U.S. Air Force photo by Tech. Sgt. Jamie Perry/Released)
