The Force Protection Condition (FPCON) System is an installation commander's operational response to elevated terrorists' threats against U.S. personnel and facilities. There are 5 security posture levels that range from Normal thru Delta. The security posture level assigned is based on the perceived threat, a specific threat, or as a result of a security incident.
