As a structure specialist with the 911th Civil Engineering Squadron, Senior Airman Christian Scott's duties include building and maintaining infrastructure such as buildings, stairs, handicap ramps etc.  His job in the Air Force directly relates to his civilian job, which is being a carpenter.

Scott is from Bridgeville, Pennsylvania and still currently resides in the Pittsburgh area. He enlisted in the Air Force Reserve in 2012.

"I always wanted to be in the military and it was my 30th birthday so I enlisted," Scott said. "It was now or never and I didn't want to think about not getting to when I got older."
One of his favorite parts of being in the military is the camaraderie on his unit.

"We have a great group of guys in the shop," Scott said. "You come in and you're with a group of your brothers."

With carpentry being a passion of his, he really enjoyed a temporary duty assignment to Malmstrom Air Force Base, Montana, where he repaired old infrastructure, which helps maintain the base for current Airmen. He is also looking forward to an upcoming TDY where he'll be building houses.

Outside of the military Scott likes to hunt, fish and is an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan as most Pittsburghers typically are.
