AMC Commander visits 911th Airlift Wing Published Dec. 18, 2009 By Tech. Sgt. Scott Pryor 911 AW/PA PITTSBURGH IAP ARS -- Gen. Raymond E. Johns Jr., Air Mobility Command commander, visited the 911th Airlift Wing on November 30th 2009 to meet with AMC Airmen and learn more about the command's current mission directly from them. This is General Johns' first trip as commander of AMC. The general has made these trips his first priority to "get out and see the mission through the eyes of AMC's amazing Airmen." The general's first stateside trip includes visits to Guard, Reserve and active duty bases in Ohio, New York, Massachusetts, New Hampshire and New Jersey as well as the U.S. Air Force Expeditionary Center.
