Matt Walsh, an aircrew flight equipment specialist, 911th Operations Support Squadron, conducts a check on the battery of an emergency beacon using a digital multimeter here, Feb. 2. The tests are needed in order to ensure that the emergency locator beacons are functional in the event of an emergency where aircrew would need to exit the C-130H aircraft by parachute. The beacons allow for rescue forces to find the aircrew.
