The 911th Logistics Readiness Squadron reins of control shifted during a change of command ceremony, April 15.

Lt. Col. Todd McCrann, the 911th LRS commander for the past five years, relinquished his command to Maj. Tanaka Dunn.

"Maj. Dunn needs no introduction," said Col. Patrick S. Ryan, 911th Mission Support Group commander, during the ceremony. "She has been a vital part of this wing for many years now, in a variety of critical roles."

Maj. Dunn comes to the LRS with over 24 years of military experience with a broad range of Air Force Specialties to include avionics, aerial port, and Wing commander staff work.
Most recently, the major was the 911th Airlift Wing's process manager, responsible for advising and coaching senior leadership on horizontal continuous process improvement and strategic planning. She also facilitated process improvement events, instructed process improvement classes and was responsible for oversight and coordination of all higher headquarters inspection programs.

"I know of no one better than Maj. Dunn to examine process; and I would venture few units on this base own more process than the LRS," said Col. Ryan. "I applaud the tremendous history Lt. Col McCrann has led and excitedly await the future Maj. Dunn will forge here."

As commander of the LRS, Maj. Dunn, will be responsible for; supply, transportation, fuels, and logistics plans, the four disciplines that make up the squadron. She will also interpret policy and provide quality, short and long range, deliberate and crisis planning and program support to the Wing.

"To the men and women of the 911th LRS I look forward to serving as your squadron commander and working with each of you," said Maj. Dunn. "As a squadron and wing we face many challenges in the coming months but I know that together whatever the future brings you are up to the challenge."

Maj. Dunn's family was present during the ceremony to watch her receive the guidon from Lt. Col. McCrann who will now assume responsibilities as the Wing's director of exercise and evaluation.
