Water safety base wide
Ken Teets, a civilian contractor for Civil Engineering, runs a routine unidirectional water flush on the fire hydrant between the transportation and headquarters building at the 911th Airlift Wing, June 27, 2012. By utilizing this flush technique, Teets checks the water pressure of the fire hydrants and washes the sediment and dirt out of the pipes simultaneously. These routine inspections play a vital part in base safety in case of a fire or smoke emergency. (U.S. Air Force photo by Airman 1st Class Justyne Obeldobel/Released)
