Master Sgt. Jessica Favorite, 911th Maintenance Squadron avionics quality assurance manager, and Senior Airman Stephen Koehler, 911 MXS communication navigation specialist, train on avionics pre-flight inspection procedures, June 2, 2013 at the Pittsburgh International Airport Air Reserve Station. The training was conducted inside the cockpit of one of the unit's equipped C-130 aircraft, while both Favorite and Koehler read their technical orders and job guides from iPads, which replaced the cumbersome binders earlier this year. The iPads are easier to use and carry around than the binders and are one-ninth the cost of the laptops most maintainers currently use.
