AL UDEID AIR BASE, Qatar -- Lt. Gen. Maryanne Miller, commander of Air Force Reserve Command, and Chief Master Sgt. Ericka Kelly, AFRC Command Chief Master Sergeant, visited Air Force Reservists deployed here during a trip to the U.S. Central Command area of responsibility. The two leaders talked with deployed Reserve Citizen Airmen and gave coins of excellence to outstanding performers.
While visiting, Miller and Kelly wanted to "get their hands dirty" and engage in tasks Reservists accomplish everyday while deployed here. Miller marshaled an Air Force Reserve C-130 Hercules assigned to the 911th Airlift Wing, Pittsburgh International Airport Air Reserve Station, Pennsylvania. Both Miller and Kelly replaced a pump on a maintenance stand, among many other activities with the Reserve Citizen Airmen assigned here.
