Former Steeler makes surprise visit to 911th AW
Former Pittsburgh Steelers running back, Rocky Bleier, receives a token of appreciation from the 911th Airlift Wing by way of Staff Sgt. Ashleylynn Wiley, an air reserve technician with the Structural Maintenance Squadron who helped make the memento, December 7, 2013, at the Pittsburgh International Airport Air Reserve Station. The four-time super bowl champion was a special guest at the 911th AW holiday party and delivered a speech about hope and persevering through tough times in order to accomplish goals. Bleier, a Vietnam veteran and recipient of the Purple Heart and Bronze Star, also signed autographs and posed for photos with Airmen and their families.
