Donating blood, saving lives
Senior Airman Michelle Dahlberg, 911th Aeromedical Staging Squadron medical technician, has her blood pressure checked by Tara Hood, Central Blood Bank phlebotomist, during a blood drive, Jan. 12, 2014 at the Pittsburgh International Airport Air Reserve Station. A donor’s diastolic blood pressure must be less than 100 mm Hg before they are allowed to donate blood. Every pint of blood donated can save up to three lives.
