The 911th Airlift Wing honors a salute to all of our veterans this Veteran’s Day, Nov. 11, 2014. Veteran’s Day became a national holiday in 1938, originally being called ‘Armistice Day’ to honor American veterans of World War I; the name was changed to Veteran’s Day in 1954 to honor American veterans of all wars.
