Airmen assigned to the 911th Airlift Wing took part in the 911th Security Forces Squadron’s second annual Law Enforcement Week at the Pittsburgh International Airport Air Reserve Station, Pennsylvania, May 13-17, 2019. There were four days of events during the week to celebrate law enforcement officers. It started off with a flag ceremony performed by members of the 911th SFS, then a combo lift challenge, then a “Jail and Bail” event, and finally a Ruck, Run, Walk. During the combo lift, participants had the opportunity to receive a t-shirt if they lifted over 500 or 1,000 pounds between deadlift, bench press, and squats. The “Jail and Bail” was a fundraiser for the first sergeant's Needy Airmen Fund, during which people could pay to have a fake arrest warrant put out for someone who would be “detained” for up to half an hour. The Ruck, Run, Walk was a five-kilometer race around the installation where participants could choose between carrying a backpack full of weights for the ruck, or simply running or walking around the course to finish the race.
