Colonel Erik P. Baldwin is the Commander, 911th Aeromedical Staging Squadron, Pittsburgh Air Reserve Station, Pennsylvania. The 911th ASTS is responsible for ensuring the health and medical readiness of 1,500 members and for the training, preparation, and deployment of 150 Airmen to support patient movement in the Global Aeromedical Evacuation System.
Colonel Baldwin enlisted in the Air National Guard in October of 1993. He was directly commissioned in July of 2002 after graduating from West Virginia University, Morgantown, West Virginia with a Bachelor of Science degree in Medical Technology. He received a Master in Business Administration from Regis University, Denver, Colorado, in 2004, and was also awarded a Master’s degree in Military Operational Arts & Science from Air University, Maxwell Air Force Base, Alabama. He has over 31 years of military service with 16 years in the Air National Guard and 15 years in the Air Force Reserve. Prior to his current position Colonel Baldwin was the 911th ASTS Flight Commander and Chief, Health Services Administrator, Pittsburgh International Airport Air Reserve Station.
In his civilian capacity, Colonel Baldwin is a leader in Managed Care and Healthcare Quality. He is board certified as a Fellow in the American College of Healthcare Executives, a Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality, and a Lean/Six Sigma Black Belt.
