All in a morning’s work
A C-130 Hercules is prepared for a tactical drop training flight by members of the 911th Aircraft Maintenance Squadron, the 911th Operations Support Squadron and the 758th Airlift Squadron during subzero weather at Pittsburgh International Airport Air Reserve Station, Jan. 22, 2014. During the winter months, aircraft must go through many steps before it is ready to fly. These steps include being towed from their parked location to a de-icing pad, heating the engines to ensure the propellers aren’t frozen in place, and then the normal preflight inspections and equipment loading.
