Keeping an eye on the target
(From left to right) Tech. Sgt. James A. Stamos , Master Sgt. Michael Benning, and Tech. Sgt. Aaron S. Lopez, members of the 911th Airlift Wing Security Forces Squadron sweep a hallway during an active shooter exercise at the T./Sgt. Vernon McGarity U.S. Army Reserve Center, Sept. 10, 2014. The exercise was the first of its kind at the reserve center, and was aimed at training reserve center members on how to react in the event of an active shooter, making sure communication stayed flowing during such a situation, and also a law enforcement aspect of neutralizing the active shooter. Every branch of the U.S. military is focused on their people and performs training like this active shooter exercise to ensure their people know what to do in the event this would happen.
