Unique approach to Family Day

Col. Craig C. Peters, 911th Airlift Wing commander, speaks to wing members and their families as part of the opening ceremony for Family Day, July 13, 2013, at the Pittsburgh International Airport Air Reserve Station. During the opening, Col. Peters, along with Capt. Shawn M. Walleck, event emcee, introduced a ‘Parade of Stars,’ similar to a Yellow Ribbon event. The Parade of Stars includes organizations such as the Key Spouse, Psychological Health and Advocacy, Airman and Family Readiness, and Sexual Assault and Response to educate & provide members and their families an avenue for assistance when needed.
