Sen. Casey visits 911th Airlift Wing
U.S. Sen. Bob Casey Jr., D-Scranton, listens to the 911th Maintenance Squadron’s briefing which highlights the squadron’s cost savings and mission focus at the 911th Airlift Wing on March 2, 2012. His visit included a walkthrough of the aircraft, a windshield tour of the base and a mission brief. Also included in the visit were Col. Anthony J. Carrelli, commander, 171st Air Refueling Wing and Cmdr. Tim Flecker, commander, Navy Operational Support Center Pittsburgh. Sen. Casey requested the meeting with local military leaders as a result of the Air Force’s recent Force Structure announcement and the Navy’s intent to build their reserve center at the 911th.
