Training opportunity offers unique perspective

During a C-130H2 formation training exercise, Tech Sgt. Christine Jones, a photographer from the 4th Combat Camera squadron, March Air Reserve Base, Calif., receives in-flight instructions from Tech Sgt. Jackie Kupetz, a loadmaster with the 758th Airlift Squadron while flying over Pittsburgh, Pa., Oct. 18, 2012. Jones’ first-time aerial photography training included shooting still photos from the C-130s ramp and ‘troop’ or side doors, while aircrew members trained on a variety of tactics to include; two-ship formations, run-ins, and low-level routes. The Fall foliage created a picturesque backdrop, which further added to the uniqueness of Jones' first-time Southwestern Pa. experience. The mission of Combat Camera (COMCAM) is to acquire still and motion imagery in support of classified and unclassified air, sea, and ground military operations. The mission of the 911th Airlift Wing is to organize, recruit and train Air Force Reserve personnel and to provide airlift of airborne forces, their equipment and supplies and delivery of these forces and materials by airdrop or airland operations.
