You're 00:52.473 --> 00:54.418 focusing on the hike climbing that 00:54.418 --> 00:56.585 mountain , which kind of leading me to 00:56.585 --> 00:58.696 about a year ago , Lieutenant Colonel 00:58.696 --> 01:00.918 Hazzard , he messaged the ops group who 01:00.918 --> 01:03.029 would be interested in hiking , Mount 01:03.029 --> 01:04.973 Kilimanjaro in Tanzania , Africa , 01:04.973 --> 01:06.807 which is one of the highest free 01:06.807 --> 01:09.029 standing mountains in the world . And I 01:09.029 --> 01:11.029 jumped on that because since I love 01:11.029 --> 01:13.251 hiking , and I asked Lieutenant Colonel 01:13.251 --> 01:15.585 Hazzard , hey , can family members come ? 01:15.585 --> 01:17.751 So can my husband come ? And he said , 01:17.751 --> 01:19.862 absolutely . So then we , we embarked 01:19.862 --> 01:21.640 on this adventure to hike Mount 01:21.640 --> 01:25.510 Kilimanjaro . We 01:25.519 --> 01:27.519 um did the Mimosa route which is an 01:27.519 --> 01:30.010 eight day trek . It was approximately 01:30.019 --> 01:32.430 six days up to the summit and then two 01:32.440 --> 01:34.162 days down , you kind of went a 01:34.162 --> 01:36.629 different way . You kind of got used to 01:36.639 --> 01:38.800 the elevation and then you just went 01:38.809 --> 01:41.290 straight down after summit night . It 01:41.300 --> 01:45.099 was approximately 42 miles uh for the 01:45.110 --> 01:47.945 whole trek . Uh You hiked approximately 01:47.956 --> 01:50.185 around six hours a day hiking , Mount 01:50.246 --> 01:52.875 El Maduro was very challenging . It was 01:52.886 --> 01:55.435 physically and mentally challenging . 01:55.486 --> 01:57.597 You know , we had to go through a lot 01:57.597 --> 01:59.819 of different weathers .
