New Commissary breaks ground in Moon Township

Kozak’s main responsibility is to assist the commander in maintaining the combat capabilities of the 911th Airlift Wing and the mission to support the C-130H2 aircraft. Col. Craig Peters, 911th Airlift Wing commander, presents the prestigious Orville Wright Achievement Award to 2nd Lt. Wesley Baranowski, 758th Airlift Squadron, during the commander’s call held at hangar 129, Aug. 12, 2012. Baranowski’s performance during the Joint Specialized Undergraduate Pilot Training was superb in all phases of the training program in which he accomplished to exemplify the highest standards established by the award. The award is given by the Daedalian foundation and is dedicated in ensuring that the United States military will always be preeminent in air and space, encouraging flight safety, promoting an esprit de corps, encouraging the adoption of the military as a career, and supporting military members in specialized higher education through the establishment of scholarships. Wingman to wingman first aid
Tech. Sgt. Eleanor Weaver, a 911th Airlift Wing Mission Support Group knowledge operations manager, practices to insert a nasopharyngeal airway into a first-aid dummy head during a Self-Aid and Buddy Care class held at the recreation center, building 213, Aug. 9, 2012. During this class, Weaver and 30 fellow Airmen learned the proper use of SABC items such as, the Nasopharyngeal Airway, the Combat Application Tourniquet, and Combat Gauze. Hydro fluid drain
Staff Sgt. Brian Connelly, 911th Airlift Wing maintenance squadron aerospace propulsion mechanic, drains hydraulic fluid from the dome of a C-130 Hercules’ T56-15 engine before replacing the domes seals, here, July 31, 2012. The engine dome controls the pitch of the engine propeller blades which ensures that the blade movement creates only a positive impact on the flight of the aircraft.
