Col. Craig Peters, 911th Airlift Wing commander, presents the prestigious Orville Wright Achievement Award to 2nd Lt. Wesley Baranowski, 758th Airlift Squadron, during the commander’s call held at hangar 129, Aug. 12, 2012. Baranowski’s performance during the Joint Specialized Undergraduate Pilot Training was superb in all phases of the training program in which he accomplished to exemplify the highest standards established by the award. The award is given by the Daedalian foundation and is dedicated in ensuring that the United States military will always be preeminent in air and space, encouraging flight safety, promoting an esprit de corps, encouraging the adoption of the military as a career, and supporting military members in specialized higher education through the establishment of scholarships.
