Hydro fluid drain
Staff Sgt. Brian Connelly, 911th Airlift Wing maintenance squadron aerospace propulsion mechanic, drains hydraulic fluid from the dome of a C-130 Hercules’ T56-15 engine before replacing the domes seals, here, July 31, 2012. The engine dome controls the pitch of the engine propeller blades which ensures that the blade movement creates only a positive impact on the flight of the aircraft. The seals must be replaced after every 2,000 hours of flying time to safeguard mission readiness. (U.S. Air Force photo by Senior Airman Joshua J. Seybert)
