The 911th Airlift Wing Safety Office hosts a motorcycle safety course, here, June 29, 2012. This event is open to military and civilian base personnel, but also to family members who operate a motorcycle. Beginner and experienced motorcyclists learn about the proper foot-and clothing wear, the requirements of their helmet, goggles and face shield, and the necessity of a reflective safety vest, but it also stresses the importance of maintaining nonstop alertness due to the rider’s vulnerability within traffic. This class is mandatory for all motorcycle operators who plan to ride their bike on base. (U.S. Air Force photo by Airman 1st Class Justyne Obeldobel/Released)
