Greetings from the Key Spouse Group, soon to be known as "Family & Friends of the Pittsburgh Military Community." Exciting things are happening with our group, and we would love to see everyone get involved and take part in the fun.

We are now open to not only spouses, but any member of a military members family who would like to be involved with supporting the base. So moms, dads, sisters, brothers, aunts and uncles, come on out, get to know us and help support our base and your family member.

In August the FFPMC assisted the Security Forces Squadron with a welcome home party for all their members who returned from a six month deployment. We also made up "goodie" bags to pass out to members who were deploying. These bags were created from items generously donated to our Family Support Group. We'll be making more bags soon, so please get in touch with us if you'd like to be involved and we will schedule a bag building party.

FFPMC is proud to announce that we will soon have a webcam and computer available for loved ones to use to speak with deployed family members. Check your e-mail soon for the official announcement.

Come join us at our next meeting September 13 (Saturday of Drill) at 5 p.m. in the Club. We will be discussing future events and would love everyone's input.

Ideas that we have had for this Fall are Halloween and Christmas parties, as well as fundraisers and lots of planning for next year's Family Day and Air Show. If you have any ideas or just want to volunteer to help out occasionally, we would love to hear from you.
As a reminder, the First Sergeants have $10 tickets available for Kennywood's Military Appreciation Day, Sept 20. Last year was a blast and Kennywood has a fantastic Kiddyland. Some groups even put together great raffles.

One other item of note to those with small children, Sesame Street Live will be presenting performances in the Pittsburgh Area especially for military and it's free!!! Check out the website for dates and times; http://www.sesameworkshop.org/initiatives/emotion/tlc_uso
