Command Chief of the 911th Airlift Wing, Pittsburgh International Airport Air Reserve Station, Coraopolis, Pennsylvania. He is the Commanders senior enlisted advisor on matters concerning welfare, effective utilization and progress of the enlisted members of the 911th Airlift Wing. Chief Neitzel is a native of Menomonie, Wis. He enlisted in the active duty Air Force in January 1992 into the Information Management career field. He joined the Air Force Reserve as a traditional reservist in 1994 at Peterson AFB, Colo. The chief has served in a variety of leadership positions including information management, personnel specialist, first sergeant and superintendent. He has supported or been deployed throughout his career for campaigns to include Operation Joint Forge, Operation Cornet Oak, Operation Enduring Freedom and Operation Iraqi Freedom.

Before assuming his current position, he served as Superintendent of the 943rd Rescue Group, Davis-Monthan, AFB, Tucson, Ariz. In his civilian capacity, he is the Director of Human Resources for the University of Wisconsin-Madison’s Department of Medicine.
